I always wanted to create a panoramic collection on my Flickr, couldn’t wait to get started as I don’t have many shots in that category yet. As an initiative I’ve grouped 3 of my recently shot landscapes (listed below). I’ve still been using Photoshop to stitch these manually not even Photomerge, I couldn’t get too much of a control with it, any productive tools out there, would love to explore?

Spending most of my leisure time for photography, once in a while I sit to refresh my visual design skills as well (supposed to be my full-time job 
)!! Recently I had a chance to help out Hamper.com with their Valentines, Mother’s day and their easter promotional creative’s which includes their mailer and home page visual re-design. Find below some of the screen shots.

Last weekend(Feb 16th & 17th) I had attended the OSPW 2008, which is basically a get together of wedding photographers from all over the country & this year it took place at the Embassy Suites, Napa, CA. It consisted of a couple of workshop sessions of model shoot which included topics such as Engagement/Wedding, family and children, seniors & fashion. There was also a working session on album design, off camera flash etc… It was my first ever seminar to attend when it comes to photography and have no words to explain the feeling of meeting the pros and to get know the industry. To my great surprise every one of them who attended this seminar was more than friendly, start from sharing their secrets in the industry, upgrades to their gear and places to look for deals etc…I built some really cool contacts which is bueno para mi!! It was my first visit to Napa as well it was one awesome place in the bay that has the nicest weather filled with mountains, luxury houses on top of the mountains, vineyards & wineries though its the wrong part of the year to visit if you looking to see some vines and grapes, its usually the fall thats best suited for it.
I had so much fun shooting and listening to speeches and the Do’s and Dont’s in photography industry, it was one informative and fun filled seminar. Adding to it I was the lucky one to win a raffle for the 50% discount off the Radiopopper, the cool gadget in the industry invented by Kevin King, which is used to communicate with off-camera flashes more reliably using Infra Red, I don’t think I could get more luckier than this, having said now I have a need/excuse to upgrade my gear with an off-camera flash!!

It’s my 28th B’day today huhuhuuu!! I guess am one of those lucky Valentine babies, but this year its was a total different experience cause this was my first B’day n valentine’s after being married to Stella. We had some fun celebration at home that was lighted entirely with tiny red candles, a yummy cheese cake & a Beringer-Zinfandel (white wine) isn’t that so romantic, I know…? As much as it was a joyful moment celebration my b’day deep down I was like goshhhh am nearing 30 pretty soon 
GRRRRRR, then I calmed myself saying am maturing than aging.
I always used to wonder why does one blog, until now when I felt a need to create my own. At the outset let me briefly introduce myself as Gerald Carvalho, 28 M taken, originally from Viluppuram-India, presently live and work in San Jose – CA.
