I’ve seen lot of these splash shots on flickr and I always thought they were cool, I didn’t get an opportunity to try one until now. This was my experiment shot using my new Canon 420EX. I feel inspired entering the world of flash photography, more to come!

I shot this pic at a wedding (my first wedding shoot as an assistant with Lauren:)). I tried a different approach to showcase the reception hall, other than hurting ones neck this looked pretty cool to me!

Last week I visited the “Hakone Japanese Gardens” which is located in Saratoga, CA a 25mins drive from San Jose, It’s one of the oldest Asian and Japanese estates around. This is tiny little beautiful garden well suited for a relaxed peaceful walk over the weekend, it was filled with flowers and some cool trees, I loved the cherry blossoms in there the best. Didn’t shoot much, here’s a couple of my shots on Flickr.
P.S. There’s a very cool drive past the Hakone Gardens its called the “Big Basin Way“, I actually missed this park and ended up driving up the mountain which I loved more than the garden itself, (Hakone is located on the very base of this mountain), not sure where this lovely drive takes you to, got to discover it someday
, miss my Kawasaki Ninja….
