{Assisted & shot for Cohnfrankel Photography}

Though I’ve been interning with Lauren for while now, I haven’t posted any of my wedding photo shoot on my blog until now. This is actually the third wedding I am assisting her. Last week it was Mike & Lydia’s Wedding shoot @ SFO, posting some of my favs I had shot under Laurens direction, for more pics check out my Flickr! It was a fun wedding and I had a great time setting up lights and shooting. :)

Voila…my flickr pic is on schmap.com

I did this casual photo shoot of Cathedral Basillica of Saint Joseph last year, and as always uploaded them on Flickr and I received an email from “Emma Williams – Managing Editor, Schmap Guides” asking me if they can use my pics on Schmap, I was all excited and gave them the go ahead with pleasure! Now received another email update from them stating that schmap’s i-phone version is out and here the link to the same showcasing my pics, how cool is that though it isn’t that great :) !

July 4th weekend

To stay away from the busy traffic I planned to start our long weekend trip to theYosemite National Park on Saturday, so as we can witness the fireworks at SFO Fisherman’s Wharf on Friday, but unfortunately the fireworks ended up to be total flop cause of the unexpected fog the moved in, the below capture is just my test prep shot having a high DOF in the dreams of capturing some cool fireworks but headed back home disappointed but hey the trip and the crowd was FUN, end of the day thats all that mattered.

It has been my long time plan to visit the Yosemite National Park and I finally made it with Stella along with my friends’ family Suman and Sashu. Though we didn’t plan too much for this trip (as always) we started our drive pretty early at 5am. After a couple of hours our GPS rerouted us from the highway to a solitary route not the best drive it was single lane and speed limit was around 50mph only and ours was the only car in that road which was kinda scary (specially after seeing the movie “The Happening“),the only fun part was that we drove past a lot of strawberry, almonds and peach farms which was kinda cool the first time I am seeing them hence we stopped for a min to quick steal a couple of them as well :) . As you near the park the drive gets windy and fun specially for Playstation fans like me. The Merced river starts flowing parallel to the road the water was crystal clear we stopped at a couple of spots to wet our feet’s, I wish I had taken my fishing gear I heard the river was good for trout fishing…

Yosemite

On entering the park we stopped first at the bridal veil falls, had no words to explain the scenic view of the falls it was just wow. The entire park was so scenic filled with pine trees and granite mountains. My favorite spot like everyone else was the Glacier point, you get to see the entire view of the steep valley, the Yosemite and the Nevada falls. The history of the park which was listed in the historical spot was really informative I was really stunned at the fact that this entire valley and was once filled with ice and etched by water and eyes over the years and falls formed by the melting glacier. All that was running in my mind reading this was, what would this mind blowing piece of nature look like in another millions of years you never know, may be the ice age would probably return who knows and the whole process may repeat.

Shall post more of my Yosemite pics soon…!

I stumbled upon this cool website called BIGHUGELABS recently, its falls under the similar category of cool websites like Blurb, Imagekind etc. where one can do tons of cool stuff using your pics on Flickr, theres tons of cool apps listed in there but the slideshow tool interested me where one can use this app to present their portfolios :) specially suited for lazy designers like me who don’t want to re-invent the wheel!

Below is the sample slideshow I attempted using my floral collection on Flickr.

Another cool app from BIGHUGELABS is the Flickr DNA:

Bejunka – Identity Design

Couple of weeks ago I was working on Bejunka.com’s branding, now having a logo finalized I spent sometime yesterday to design their Identity design, I personally liked the way thing fell in place with this design as simple, elegance, clean was the client’s approach.

Would be creating their web presence soon!

Feel free to post your comments.
